MEET THE AUTHOR:

Richlieu Norris is a current assistant principal in the Providence Public School District. He has served as a teacher, school counselor, and mentor throughout his career.

In 2011, he founded the Gentlemen’s Academy to support Black & Latino boys in the school where he taught. Since then, the program has expanded to additional schools across the district, continuing its mission of mentorship, leadership, and student success.
